Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We do long distance adoptions to most anyplace that we can get home checks done and the adoptor's can work out transport. But, since we are in Nashville, Tenn. we focus on surrounding states and towns.

About Our Rescue Group:

I'm a lover of animals and saw a serious need for helping animals. I started rescuing pretty much by myself when and where I could. Mostly just the streets at that time. But, eventually, it all became very serious for me. I began networking on the internet and met many more folks such as myself. Now, I pull animals from high kill shelters and work thru email as well. It has become my life. We are 501(c)3 tax exempt and are growing. We are strictly volunteers and work with donations. Donations are always badly needed. Adoptions are also badly needed by the way! We could also use animal items as well. We are constantly running out of leashes and collars. Always need flea/tick prevention as well as heart protection.

Our Adoption Process:

We have a adoption contract that is strictly adhered to simply because I want to make sure that these animals go into a GOOD home where they will be taken good care of and loved as they should be. We also have an adoption fee. This fee covers medical costs on the animal with a bit extra for the next baby that might be very sick. We do not sell animals.

If it's an older dog

by Moosewood

It may already have a jistory of aggression with cats. Puppies raised with cats (esp goldens) usually do well with them. It helps to have a laid back cat that doesn't freak and run as that stirs up the prey drive. My boxers live with 2 cats (an old persian and fat mulazy munchkin) and other than occasionally annoying them trying to get attention, they leave them alone. They, however, were raised with these cats, and both know their boundries. From the described injuries, the dog bit the cat many times (is the cat declawed?). That's not good. You are at high risk of it happening again, especially if you don't know what the trigger for the attack was
