About Our Rescue Group:

The Cedar Forest Cat Ranch exists for the purpose of rescuing, fostering and offering adoption services for lost, abused, abandoned and homeless cats in our community. We provide wellness care to preserve the health of rescued and homeless cats and provide sterilization surgery. Our mission is to promote and ensure humane treatment to all cats in need of a safe haven.

Come Meet our Pets:

The temperament of each cat at the Ranch is closely monitored so as to offer his/her adoptive family
the best match of feline to family as is possible.
All of the crazy cats (that enjoy being outdoors) at Cedar Forest Cat Ranch are available for one-on-one human interaction in their exclusive one-of-a-kind Cat Corral. Many of these felines prefer the comfort of indoors and live in our home. Please call and make an appointment to come and spend time with these loving, special creatures.

Our Adoption Process:

Potential adopters are interviewed face-to-face and are required to complete a written application and
furnish veterinarian and/or other personal references.
An adoption fee is required ranging in cost from $45-$125 depending upon the age of the kitten or cat and if they are current on their vaccinations. All of our felines have tested negative for feline leukemia and HIV. If a kitten has not been sterilized, proof of sterilization is required within 6 months of its adoption.

If it's an older dog

by Moosewood

It may already have a jistory of aggression with cats. Puppies raised with cats (esp goldens) usually do well with them. It helps to have a laid back cat that doesn't freak and run as that stirs up the prey drive. My boxers live with 2 cats (an old persian and fat mulazy munchkin) and other than occasionally annoying them trying to get attention, they leave them alone. They, however, were raised with these cats, and both know their boundries. From the described injuries, the dog bit the cat many times (is the cat declawed?). That's not good. You are at high risk of it happening again, especially if you don't know what the trigger for the attack was
